Other Faiths
Religious Education should introduce children to the background and beliefs of people of other faiths so that prejudice and misunderstanding can be overcome from an early age.
At St Francis, we give pupils the opportunity to develop an appropriate knowledge, understanding and respect for the religious beliefs of others. We have a whole school approach to teaching other World faiths. Each year group covers a range of objectives which is built upon each year. One other faith is taught every half term and the knowledge of the other faiths then broadens as they progress through school. Please take a look at our curriculum overview below.

We have developed our Religious Education curriculum to make additional links to Other Faiths teachings, to enable our children to make links to and compare faiths; thus enhancing our children's personal development and cultural understanding.
